OGIO

Utah-based Ogio was created in 1987 by Mike Pratt, an inventor with many exciting and innovative ideas. One day when Pratt was at the gym, he became frustrated that his gym bag didn't fit in the locker room cabinets unless he turned it sideways. He then came up with a prototype for a gym bag shaped like a miniature cabinet that could stand at the bottom of the gym lockers. The bag opened like a cabinet and featured practical shelves on the inside. Pratt paid for patenting on this bag by borrowing money from a neighbor, and from that point was able to finance the foundation of Ogio. Ogio's "Locker Bag" was the first big innovation and remains, even today, one of the most technologically-advanced gym bags on the market. Following the success of the gym bag, Ogio branched out and began to market itself towards action-sport enthusiasts. Gear bags for motocross, motorbikes, surfing, BMX, skateboarding and snowboarding became a fast-growing area and today Ogio is considered to be one of the most prestigious brands. Ogio's products have been the choice of many professionals, and over the years Ogio has sponsored some of the world's foremost athletes. Names like Blake Baggett, Darryn Durham, Martin Davalos and Dean Wilson are just a few who have been associated with Ogio.
