What are motorcycle luggage racks and motorcycle mounts?

Motorcycle Racks- Motorcycle luggage racks are robust steel components, often in a grid-type format that attaches securely to a motorcycle. They provide a secure base to attach your luggage, and you can mostly bolt them in place. The most common type of rack is one that locates to the rear of the passenger grab rail or fender mounts. It is also possible to find racks that attach to the lid of specific brands of hard luggage and top boxes.

Sissy bar racks: Most XLMOTO racks and mounts are more suited to street or adventure bikes. However, cruiser riders are also taken care of within the XLMOTO range. Two styles are available. These are one where the rack attaches to a sissy bar (backrest), and another more straightforward format rack attaches to the rear fender struts. Either style provides an excellent platform for additional luggage. Among XLMOTO's impressive range, you will also find curved racks for cruisers. This bolt-on style rack follows the angle of the rear mudguard and is stylish and practical.

Motorcycle Mounts: XLMOTO offer a vast choice of motorcycle mounts that bolt securely to your motorcycle. This design makes carrying luggage safer and more convenient.

Soft pannier mounts: This mount style is a must if you prefer throw-over or soft panniers. These mounts are tubular or solid steel and bolt to each side of the rear fender. The steel frame part of the mount stops the throw-over panniers from touching the wheel. This mount type is model specific, even though it is suitable for universal soft panniers.

Hard pannier mounts: This style of mount bolts to each side of the bike in the same way as the mounts mentioned earlier. The construction, however, is sturdier as the hard panniers attach to the mounts. Once again, these mounts are make and model-specific for branded panniers. If in doubt, always use the product's drop-down menu to ensure a perfect fit.

Top box mounts: Top boxes are one of the most convenient forms of motorcycle luggage. Thanks to XLMOTO, top box mounting plates make light work of attaching a top box. In addition, with the plate securely mounted on a rear rack, you can lock or detach the top box in moments.

Petrol tank mounts: The petrol tank mount also offers flexibility. For this mounting style, your motorcycle must have a flush-mounted filler cap whose surrounding flange bolts onto the tank. The tank mount bolts onto the flange allowing a tank bag to attach or detach in seconds. A quick detachable tank bag is the answer if your road trip requires multiple stops.
