It was the love of the motorsport that was the start of the family owned company Wössner. Eckart Wössner was an avid racing rider and rode many motorcycle races during the 70s. Wössners interest to optimize performance on the motorcycles made him importing pistons. From 1979 to 1995 Wössner, with Eckart Wössner , the exclusive distributor in Germany for pistons manufactured in the United States. In 1994 Wössner began manufacturing their own range of forged pistons, which quickly gave it an even more successful growth. Today, Wössner develops and manufactures forged pistons of the highest quality for the internationally renowned engine manufacturers and individual clients in the motorsport. In order to satisfy the huge demand for pistons Wössner have also a branch in the United States where they distribute pistons in America and to Africa and Australia. To further improve the quality of products Wössner has bought a forging company in Italy, by having its own forging companies Wössner can affect both quality and delivery in an optimal way. In addition pistons so have Wössner since 2010 expanded its offerings and also offers forged connecting rods and gaskets.
