CTEK was formed in 1997 and is a sister company to Creator Technical Development AB. The story begins with the Creator had been commissioned by a client to produce and develop new batteries and battery chargers. They then decided to form a company and built a business model around battery chargers , hence founded CTEK. CTEK wanted to move away from the traditional use of battery chargers, as a solution when the battery was already dead, to prevent battery discharge . CTEK battery chargers measure and communicate all the time with the battery and charge it only when it need it. This avoids the risk of improper loading and by the battery is exercised in addition to charging , the lifetime is considerably longer. If a battery gets proper care and charging extends battery life considerably and last about 2-3 times longer than a battery that is not regularly maintained and recharged. CTEK have a number of patented features that make their battery chargers unique and they have over the years developed a strong capacity for innovation which constantly pushes the company forward. CTEK strives to their battery chargers shall meet all requirements for battery care while always taking into account the future needs of its customers. CTEK has operations in the U.S. and China, while the head office and development is done in Vikmanshyttan Dalarna Sweden.
