Athena has manufactured professional engine parts for years. Their technology is derived from F1 and Moto GP teams.
The products are tested in 3D-simulation to verify that the parts meet the demands of harsh environmental conditions. The aluminium cylinder is made of steel template via CNC machines. This process ensures that the product will be of premium quality.

The coating on the inside of the cylinder is a mixture of nickel and silicon carbide. The mixture creates a maximum flow piston, which reduces friction and maximizes performance. Silicon carbide is a substance that can withstand very high temperatures and reduces the risk of unnecessary wear and tear on the engine and the risk of overheating.

For the liquid-cooled bikes they have new water jackets with greater volume to cool the engine at high revolutions.

The cylinder kit is checked and tested in an indoor environment of about 20 degrees Celsius. This is to have full control of the cylinder and piston cooperation. And to easily identify factors that have a negative impact on performance.
