Russell Weiner founded the Rockstar company in 1998, and released their first energy drink in 2001. During the 2000's, the energy drink industry was a fast-growing segment of the American drink market, and Rockstar launched their product at exactly the right time. Rockstar presented their energy drink with ingredients to speed up recovery for those with an active lifestyle, from athletes to rockstars. They also succeeded in separating themselves from other brands by selling their drinks in cans 2x the size of an average energy drink for the same price as competitors. Since its inception, the company has expanded, and Rockstar is now available in 20 different flavors in over 30 different countries. Rockstar is also known for sponsoring different extreme and motor sport events worldwide. Like "normal" people, there also sell an abundance of street wear clothing, goggles, decals, and motocross kits with the Rockstar logo. Everyone has the chance to look like a Rockstar!
