Protect Your Bike from Damage with Crash protectors. Frame Sliders or Frame protectors are synthetic pucks that stick out from your motorcycle frame or engine via metal bolts. In the event that your motorcycle falls over or slides during a crash, the frame slider would absorb the impact and minimize the damage to your expensive fairings, frame and other components. Imagine the following: From a standstill drop the frame slider puck must be able to absorb the impact and not shatter whilst holding up the entire weight of your bike. Now imagine a low side / high side situation, the puck has to be soft enough to withstand the impact and durable enough to slide along the ground.
