You will notice three figures in the description when looking for a pressure washer for your motorbike. These relate to the unit’s pounds per square (PSI) rating. This figure relates to the water’s pressure as it leaves the nozzle. A rating of 160psi produces a powerful jet of water, so take care when using it on your bike.
Jet-washing wheels and under mudguards is simple. However, don’t direct the spray too closely at electrical components, air filters or the drive chain unless you intend to re-lubricate it afterwards.
The closer you are to the bike, the more powerful the water jet. Use safety goggles when dirt bike pressure washing to avoid eye damage from loosened mud.
